About Mike Gronsky
After a decade of touring and recording as a guitarist with other bands and artists, Mike Gronsky's debut full-length album, "In The Springtime" is a declaration of vulnerability and hope through hardship. These ten songs illustrate death and rebirth through the lens of our land, our habits and our deepest relationships. Mike's diverse and emotive guitar playing shines through this record while complimenting his soaring yet sensitive vocal melodies and texturally rich arrangements.
As a relatively-new resident of Nashville, Tennessee, Gronsky is stepping forward with watermelon-sized choruses, an all-star cast of musicians, and intimate, energetic performances featuring everything from synths to slide guitar. This perfectly imperfect "folk record with some hair on its chest" pulls no punches while simultaneously leaving the listener more hopeful than when they arrived. Centering the theme of Gronsky's debut record, the title track boasts, "In the springtime, the earth is ripe for change, and so am I".
